Abstract

Background and Aims: The conceptualization and operationalization of flexibility pose considerable challenges, to the extent that some authors and contemporary creativity tests currently overlook it. The primary conceptual issues relate to its definition, differentiation between in vitro and in vivo examination, and the notion of ‘diversity.’ Concerns regarding operationalization are tied to the categorization system utilized for assessing flexibility, the scoring methodology, and the calculation of individual flexibility scores. This study provides a concise overview of the difficulties encountered in both the conceptualization and operationalization of flexibility.
