The Journal
Current Applied Psychology was founded by the Foundation for Applied Psychology, which served as the publisher of the journal from 1998 to 2016. Since 2017, this role has been taken over by the Faculty of Education and Psychology at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE PPK). The journal is published by Eötvös Publishing. From 2016 onward, it has been supported by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and ELTE PPK.
Profile The journal publishes Hungarian and English studies presenting research findings, situational analyses, thematic reviews, methodological studies, research reports, book reviews, and current news covering all areas of applied psychology. Submissions are welcomed in the applied areas related to social, personality, developmental, and general psychology (such as economic, educational, military, clinical, health, environmental, criminal, occupational and organizational, educational, pedagogical, political, counseling, and sports psychology).
The articles published are aimed at a broad audience of practicing psychologists as well as professionals from related fields (educators, social workers, organizational developers, trainers). The journal is a quarterly periodical, publishing issues in spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Submissions are subject to a peer review process, with each manuscript reviewed by at least two independent, anonymous reviewers.
