Call for papers for the WoPaLP 19 volume
We are now calling for papers for WoPaLP 19 reporting on the findings of either empirical or theoretical research in language pedagogy and applied linguistics.
Publication of a paper at Working Papers in Language Pedagogy – as the name of the volume also suggests – does not exclude the publication of a later version of the paper elsewhere. All papers published in the volume are to go through the review procedure. To facilitate this process, authors should ensure that all submissions are anonymized: the author’s name and institutional affiliation should appear on a detachable cover sheet. References to the author's earlier publications should be referred to in the text as: (author's publication, undisclosed) and not at all in the references.
Papers will be assessed on the basis of
- the relevance of the topic,
- clarity of focus and research questions,
- the quality and depth of the theoretical background,
- the research design,
- the claims put forward based on the analysis,
- the quality of the presentation (i.e., organization and language use), and
- the documentation format.
Articles submitted to the volume should normally be between 5000 and 8000 words, and should be accompanied by an abstract not exceeding 200 words and five key words. Authors are to include a word count with their submission.
Please, use the OJS submission system to submit your paper.
Submission is continuous, but the latest deadline for Volume 19 is June 30, 2024.
